Hello! I am an evolutionary biologist interested in comparative biomechanics, functional morphology, and bioacoustics. I study the form and function of mechanical and acoustic structures, and how these have facilitated novel communication channels.
I graduated from University of Lincoln with a BSc in Zoology before continuing onto a Zoology PhD programme working on the biophysics of communication in Orthoptera.
I am currently based at the University of Lincoln, UK.

July 2026 - Exciting News! I have been awarded a NERC Independent Research Fellowship to continue my research into insect auditory system evolution. This project will be hosted at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, starting late 2026.
